You have two choices when using Diatomite with your House Plants:
You can add diatomite to the mix you are currently using for your houseplants. Extra Fine (#1) or Fine (#2) can be added to your standard mix. We suggest that you start with a 1/4 or 1/3 portion of diatomite and adjust as you go on to suit your growing conditions.
Aussie-Gold® Orchid Mix is an ideal growing medium for all of your house plants.
Aussie-Gold® Orchid Mix augments the proven benefits of diatomite by including other inert and plant-friendly ingredients (NO bark is used in this mix). This mix is 100% organic and highly absorbent. It does not deteriorate or break down like various other mixes and you cannot OVER WATER it! It is non-toxic, pH neutral and provides 'plant available' silica.
We recommend that you use Aussie-Gold® Orchid Seedling mix or Paph / Phrag mix for the majority of your plants, such as African Violets. If you desire a larger mix, then use the Aussie-Gold® Orchid Regular mix. |
